January 2024 Electrification Open House

Sat Jan 20 - 1:00pm-3:00pm

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Are you curious about the benefits of electrification, but wondering what electrification would entail, how/where you should start, how much it might cost, and how much you might save from the Inflation Reduction Act?

If you’ve wondered about the pros and cons, logistics, and costs involved in electrifying everything in your home (e.g. the use of heat pumps for space heating and cooling; heat pump for hot water; cooking via induction; generating and storing power through PV solar with battery backup), in addition to the climate and health benefits, then please consider attending the Electrification Open House on January 20th between 1-3pm at the Musser home in Northeast Portland.

Experience how you would heat and cool the home, heat your water, cook food, and provide power to your appliances, even during unexpected grid outages. Learn about the benefits of electrification as well as how important it is to begin planning and preparing for home electrification now, so that you can implement that plan in the future. Speak with homeowners who have electrified three of their homes in which they’ve lived over the years. Speak with some of the local contractors who completed the electrification projects for them here in Portland. Learn about the current tax credits and upcoming rebates and incentives from the Inflation Reduction Act.

EVENT DETAILS

At the top of every hour, starting at 1pm, there will be a 20-30min presentation giving an overview of the home and the benefits of electrification.
