The activist core of Southern Oregon Climate Action Now (SOCAN) consists of individuals committed to promoting awareness and understanding about the science of global warming and its climate change consequences and motivating individual and collective action to address it within the framework of social justice. I love working with this group as we help the public understand climate chaos issues and what we can do to help address the climate crisis.

SOCAN has 5 programs: Education, Government, Natural Resources, Transportation, and Community Engagement. Within these 5 programs, we have projects that serve our science-based mission. We are looking for individuals who want to work on projects promoting understanding of the climate crisis and individual and collective action to address it.
